These terms apply when you use goldincanada.ca, read our email or download our checklist. Please read them together with our Legal Disclaimer and our Privacy Policy, which form part of these terms.
1. Who we are
Gold in Canada is published by Flaneur Ventures LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us" or "our"). In these terms, "the website" means https://goldincanada.ca, and "our services" means the website, our free email newsletter and our free checklist.

2. Agreeing to these terms
By using our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them. Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under the law of the province or territory where you live (see section 12).
3. What we publish
We publish general information about buying and holding gold and silver in Canada. It is not advice for your situation. We are not an investment adviser, financial planner, broker or dealer, and we do not sell precious metals. Please read our Legal Disclaimer before you act on anything you read here.
4. How we get paid
We earn money in two ways: affiliate commissions and advertising. When you click certain links to companies we write about and then buy from them or open an account, that company may pay us. It costs you nothing extra. Today these companies are Silver Gold Bull and BullionStar. Boxes marked "Advertisement" are paid or affiliate placements.
Payment can affect which companies we cover and where and how prominently they appear. It does not buy a review or change what we report about prices, fees or terms. The details are on our page How we get paid.
5. Other companies and their websites
Our pages link to other websites, including the websites of companies that pay us. We do not control those websites and we are not responsible for their content, products, prices or service.
If you buy from another company or open an account with it, your agreement is with that company, on its terms. Check its prices, fees and terms yourself before you commit.
6. Our email and checklist
You can sign up for our free email and checklist with your email address. We ask you to confirm by clicking a link in the first email we send, and we add you only after you confirm. You must be an adult under the law of the province or territory where you live to sign up.
Our email includes offers from companies that pay us. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your email address.
7. Using the website fairly
You may read, print and share our pages for your own non-commercial use. Please do not:
- copy or republish our articles, images or checklist, in whole or in large part, without our written permission (short quotes with a link to the page are fine);
- use automated tools to copy the website in bulk, or in a way that overloads or disrupts it;
- try to get into parts of the website or our systems that are not public;
- use our services to break the law or to send spam.
8. Our content and name
The articles, images, design and checklist on the website belong to Flaneur Ventures LLC or to the people who licensed them to us. They are protected by copyright law in Canada, the United States and other countries.
The Gold in Canada name and logo belong to Flaneur Ventures LLC. Please do not use them without our written permission. The names and logos of other companies belong to those companies.
9. Messages you send us
If you send us a correction, a question or another message, we may use it to answer you and to fix or improve our pages. We will not publish your name or your message without your permission. Please do not send us account numbers, passwords or other confidential information.
10. Accuracy, changes and availability
We check the facts in our articles against primary sources and show the date we checked them. Prices, fees, tax rules and company terms change, and we can make mistakes. Please confirm anything important with the company or a qualified professional before you act. If you find an error, tell us at hello@goldincanada.ca.
We may update, correct or remove content, and we may change or stop any part of our services, at any time.
11. Responsibility for losses
Our services are free. To the extent the law allows, Flaneur Ventures LLC is not responsible for:
- losses that come from your decisions to buy, sell or hold any precious metal or other investment;
- the products, prices, service or conduct of any other company, including companies that pay us;
- losses caused by the website being unavailable, or by errors or delays in its content.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any responsibility that the law that applies to you does not allow us to limit or exclude.
12. Governing law and your rights as a consumer
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States.
If you live in Canada, this does not take away any protection you have under the consumer protection law, or any other law, of your province or territory that cannot be set aside by an agreement. In particular, if you are a consumer:
- nothing in these terms requires you to take a dispute to arbitration;
- nothing in these terms stops you from bringing a claim in the courts of the province or territory where you live, where your law gives you that right;
- nothing in these terms stops you from starting or joining a class action.

13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page with a new date, and it applies from that date. A change does not apply to anything that happened before it was posted.
14. General
If a court decides that part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. These terms, our Legal Disclaimer and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about our services.
